Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has been implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) PMAY (U) to address the housing shortage in urban areas of the country with a larger goal of “Housing for All by 2022” and in order to ensure effective implementation of PMAY (U) Mission, the Ministry regularly monitors key indicators of the programmes at various fora.

Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the central government has given green signal to the proposal to build 3.61 lakh houses in urban areas. The central government provides housing to people who do not have a home under the PM Awas Yojana. The scheme provides subsidy to those who buy a house or flat on loan. The decision was taken at the 56th meeting of the Central Acceptance and Monitoring Committee of the government.

The 56th meeting of the Central Acceptance and Oversight Committee was held on 23 November 2021 at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in New Delhi. The meeting was chaired by Shri Durga Shankar Mishra, Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. Many important issues were also discussed at the meeting and many important decisions were also taken.

The meeting approved PMAY-U to build a total of 3.61 lakh houses under Affordable Housing in Partnership, Beneficiary Land Construction (BLC), In-Situ Slum Redevelopment Vertical. At the meeting, Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra spoke on resolving many issues so that the construction of houses could be started soon.

How to avail benefits in this scheme?

Importantly, the benefit of PM Awas Yojana was earlier only for the poor. But now the middle class can also benefit by increasing the amount of home loan. Earlier, the home loan amount in this scheme was Rs 3 to 6 lakh. The interest was subsidized. But now it has been increased to Rs 8 lakh.

The Samaras Hostel was started in the year 2016 by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJED) working under the Government of Gujarat. At present 20 hostels have been started in 9 districts of Gujarat. In which a total of more than 13,000 male and female students are admitted. Admission is given to SC / ST / OBC and EBC students on merit basis in this hostel. Graduate. Admission is free along with accommodation for postgraduate and scheduled courses. The online form of this scheme can be filled from Digital Gujarat.

The purpose of Samaras Hostel

Students living in remote, inland and forested areas of Gujarat have difficulty in staying and eating when they have to move away from home for higher education. With this objective in mind, free accommodation and meals are provided to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and Economically Backward Classes (EBC) students of the State.

There is a fixed income limit for admission to Samaras Hostel. The annual income limit for students will be Rs. 6.00 lakhs. And there will be no income limit for female students.

Rules of admission to Samaras Hostel

Eligibility and rules for admission in hostels are determined by Gujarat Samaras Chhatralay Sociery, Government of Gujarat. Students will be admitted to Samaras Hostel keeping in view the following rules.

Admission will be given only to male students of Gujarat state.

Students will be able to apply for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses as decided by the Government.

Admission to Samars hostel will be on merit basis.

In order to take New Admission in the undergraduate / postgraduate course in Samaras Chhatralay, the students should have got 50% or more marks.

The maximum age limit for availing benefits in Samaras hostels is 25 years.

No new or old students will be admitted after 25 years.

Local students in the city where the hostel is located will not be able to apply online.

Local students who live in a slum, raw building, slum, tent settlement, dirty area will be able to apply for admission.

New students in Samaras Hostel will be given admission in all groups of all undergraduate courses in any semester on the basis of the percentage obtained in Std-12.

Students who get admission in Degree Course after Diploma will be given admission in Samaras Hostel on the basis of the same percentage as they got admission in the university. (Percentage must be calculated from the marks obtained from the total marks.)

Students admitted to the Master Degree course will be given admission on merit based on the percentage of their graduate course admitted to the university.

Students who get admission in degree course after diploma will be given admission in Samaras Hostel on the basis of the percentage of admission in the university.

At the time of taking Samras Hostel Admission, the students will have to submit the guarantee form in person in the prescribed form. And that guarantee has to be strictly followed and the guardian has to give the guarantee form in the prescribed form.

Samras Hostel Renewal Admission

The government has made rules for admission in the new year to the students who have got admission in Samaras Hostel. For those who want to re-enter the hostel, the following qualifications are available.

Re-admission in the hostel will be given keeping in view the behavior, study, accommodation, discipline, character etc. of the students.

Alumni of the hostel will also have to re-apply online to continue admission. Special attention will be paid to the behavior of the students during the last year while giving admission.

Courses which are coming late will have to be vacated till the result comes and admission will be given after the result comes.

Students who fail, have ATKT and drop out in the main subject of Samaras Hostel will not be admitted.

The government has made major changes in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Yojana).  If you also take advantage of this plan, you should check immediately.  From now on, farmers are required to provide ration card along with all other documents to avail the benefits of this scheme.  Farmers who do not provide ration card will not be able to avail the benefits of this scheme.

 The government has taken this step to stop the ongoing fraud on PM Kisan Yojana.  Now you will not get installment money without ration card.  Let me tell you that under this scheme, ration card has been made mandatory for all newly registered farmers.  You or your family members will get the benefit of this scheme only after giving the ration card number.  Apart from this you will also have to upload soft copy of all the documents on the portal. Besides, all the farmers who are currently taking advantage of this scheme will also have to upload their ration card number on the portal.

Two Wheeler or Three Wheeler Subsidy Yojana

Pollution is increasing day by day all over the world. It is our moral responsibility to protect and nurture the environment. Increasing the use of conventional energy is very important to save the environment. With this objective in mind, different countries are inventing pollution-free equipment. Battery powered scooters, rickshaws and cars are also running. In order to increase the use of electric scooters and e-rickshaws by the Gujarat government, subsidy is given on the purchase of these vehicles to keep the air clean.

Gujarat Electric E-Vehicle Scheme 2021

The scheme has been implemented by the Climate Change Department, Government of Gujarat to reduce environmental pollution and increase the consumption of battery powered and electric vehicles. The scheme is implemented by Gujarat Energy Development Agency - GEDA.

Electric Vehicle Subsidy Gujarat Scheme was released by Chief Minister Hon'ble Vijaybhai Rupani on 17th September. Under this Subsidy Scheme, Rs. 12,000 (twelve thousand) will be given on purchase of battery operated two-wheeler for Std. As well as 48,000 / - (forty eight) thousand subsidy will be given on purchase of three wheeler for citizens and organization.

Subsidy on purchase of electric scooter and e-rickshaw is paid to the citizens of Gujarat under GEDA Gujarat Gov in Bike Yojana. Eligibility of beneficiaries has been determined by "Gujarat Energy Development Agency" to avail the benefits of this scheme, which are as follows.

Beneficiary should be a citizen of Gujarat.

Gujarat two wheeler scheme will be available only to students of Std-9 and 12 and colleges of the state.

The Three Wheeler Scheme will be available to individuals and organizations in the state.

Gujarat Electric Vehicle Scheme Benefits

The use of e-scooters and e-rickshaws needs to be increased to protect and preserve the environment. With this in mind, Battery Operated Two Wheeler Scheme 2021-22 has been implemented in which the beneficiaries are given subsidy on purchase of vehicles. The details of what the benefits of this scheme are as follows.

Under this scheme 12,000 / - assistance will be given to Std-9 to 12 and college students on purchase of electric scooter.

48,000 / - subsidy will be given on purchase of Three Wheeler or e-rickshaw for individuals and organizations.

Under Gujarat Electric e-Vehicle Scheme, the subsidy amount will be credited to the bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

Beneficiaries under this scheme will be provided electric vehicles without revenue.

Both boys and girls will be eligible for the scheme.

Government through the Budget Speech announced three ambitious Social Special for the protection of the maximum number of people living under the lack of economic security

 Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Vima Yojana has been implemented, the characteristics of which are as follows.This plan is a one year life insurance plan.  Which can be renewed every year.

 The purpose of this scheme is a type of life insurance policy.  In which Rs 2 lakh will be paid to the heirs / family members of the insured against death due to any reason.  For this, each consumer has to pay Rs.  You will have to pay a premium of Rs.

 Eligibility:

 A person between the ages of 18 to 50 who has a bank account can avail the benefit.  People who join the scheme before completing 3 years will get insurance cover till the age of PUP due to payment of annual premium. Advantages: The death of a member for any reason will be an amount payable of Rs. 5 lakhs.

 Procedure:

 Under the above scheme, customers will have to register for the period of protection from 1st June to 21st May as well as consent for automatic deduction from the account by 31st May every year, which will not be applicable to the first year.  No annual premium after due time as well as self certified certificate of good health   It will be possible to get protection under them.

 Implements:

 The scheme will be implemented by the public sector LIC and other insurance companies through the bank.MantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BimaYojanaPMSBY)and an the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) to move towards creating a universalsocial security system, targeted especially for the poor and the under-privileged. cover on the lives of the enrolled persons has commenced from 1st June 2015.

1) On attaining age 55 years (age near birth day) subject to annual renewal up tothat date (entry, however, will not be possible beyond the age of 50 years).Closure of account with the Bank or insufficiency of balance to keep the insurancein force.3) A person can join PMJJBY with one Insurance company with one bank accountonly.5. Individuals who exit the scheme at any point may re-join the scheme in futureyears by paying the annual premium and submitting a self-declaration of good health.Initial enrolment period in the scheme was from 1st May to 31st May ‘2015, which has nowbeen extended up to 31st Aug’ 2015, by this date eligible persons can join the schemewithout giving self-certification of good health, even though eligible persons can join thescheme on any date by paying the premium for full year. In case of claim thenominees/heirs of the insured person have to contact respective bank branch where theinsured person was having bank account. A death certificate and simple claim form isrequired to submit and the claim amount will be transferred to nominees account.

Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY)

Government through the Budget Speech 2015 announced three ambitiousSocial Security Schemes pertaining to the Insurance and Pension Sectors, namelyPradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri SurakshaBima Yojana (PMSBY) and an the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) to move towardscreating a universal social security system, targeted especially for the poor andthe under-privileged. Hon’ble Prime Minister will be launched these schemesnationally in Kolkata on 9th May, 2015light of the fact that a large proportion of the population have no accidentalinsurance cover, the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) is aimed atcovering the uncovered population at an highly affordable premium of just Rs.12per year. The Scheme will be available to people in the age group 18 to 70 yearswith a savings bank account who give their consent to join and enable auto-debiton or before 31st May for the coverage period 1st June to 31st May on an annualrenewal basis.Under the said scheme, risk coverage available will be Rs. 2 lakh for accidentaldeath and permanent total disability and Rs. 1 lakh for permanent partialdisability, for a one year period stretching from 1st June to 31st May. It is offered byPublic Sector General Insurance Companies or any other General InsuranceCompany who are willing to offer the product on similar terms with necessaryapprovals and tie up with banks for this purpose. Participating Bank will be theMaster policy holder on behalf of the participating subscribers. It will be theresponsibility of the participating bank to recover the appropriate annualpremium in one instalment, as per the option, from the account holders on orbefore the due date through ‘auto-debit’ process and transfer the amount due to

Further, in order toassure a hassle free claim settlement experience for the claimants a simple andsubscriber friendly administration & claim settlement process has been put inplace.To ensure that the benefits of this scheme is brought to every uninsuredindividual, who holds a bank account, wide publicity was given for this socialsecurity measure through electronic media, radio, posters, newspapersadvertisements etc. Enrollment forms were widely distributed. Highly publicisedEnrollment camps were conducted by Banks, and Insurance Companies,mobilising the entire net work of SLBC Co ordinators, state and district level nodalofficers, agents and banking correspondents, thereby fully utilising the reach ofthese channels, for attracting large scale enrolment in the scheme.Between the date of commencement of enrolment on 01st May till the date oflaunch of the scheme by the PM on 9th May, 4.42 Crore subscribers were enrolledin the PMJJBY scheme.The simplified procedures and the documentary requirements and the proceduresto be followed in case of a claim under the policy has been widely publicisedthrough posters and advertisements at every location and point of contact whicha claimant is likely to get in touch in case of an accident resulting in a claim underthe scheme.An IT enabled, web based system is in the process of being established to keepthe claimants informed seamlessly about the progress and status of the claim, tillit’s settlement.Claim settlement will be made to the bank account of the insured or his nomineein case of death of the account holder.

The enrolment drive is continuing without loss of momentum till date. As on 31stMay, that is, on the eve of commencement date of the policy, the numberenrolled under PMSBY scheme had reached 7.29 Crores.Immediately after the close of the first phase of enrolments, banks have startedthe process of auto debit of premium in the accounts of the enrolees andremittance of premium to the insurers. So far premium has been debited toaround 65% of the accounts.The enrollment is open till 31st August and the drive is continuing. Till 18th June2015 the number of enrolled under PMSBY stands at 7.68 Crore.The scheme is expected to serve the goal of financial inclusion by achievingpenetration of insurance down to the weaker sections of the society, ensuringtheir or their family’s financial security, which otherwise gets pulled to the ground
