 To realize the dream of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav-2021", many of the state government

 Different activities are carried out by the departments as a campaign.  "Azadi ka amrut" in every school

 The festival is included in the flagship program of the year 2021.

 The Hon'ble Prime Minister has called upon the office bearers of Panchayati Raj Institutions to celebrate the birthday of the primary school of each village in an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the program of Gujarat Panchayat Mahasammelan in Ahmedabad.

 The Hon'ble Prime Minister while giving guidance said that school is not just a place of four walls.  But the whole village is a symbol of vitality.  Every citizen of the village should always feel the pride of the school.

 Respect.  The Prime Minister has also instructed the citizens of the village to come together on the birth day of the school to celebrate the birth anniversary of the school in a humane manner and also to make resolutions like cleaning the school.

 The celebration of school birthday would be more meaningful if every school in the state also arranges a "date meal" for the children in the school with the public cooperation of village elders, office bearers, school family, leaders, institutions, alumni.  According to which, during the celebration of the school's birthday, it is requested to get public cooperation for the date meal and to organize it properly.

The Samaras Hostel was started in the year 2016 by the Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJED) working under the Government of Gujarat. At present 20 hostels have been started in 9 districts of Gujarat. In which a total of more than 13,000 male and female students are admitted. Admission is given to SC / ST / OBC and EBC students on merit basis in this hostel. Graduate. Admission is free along with accommodation for postgraduate and scheduled courses. The purpose of Samaras Hostel

Students living in remote, inland and forested areas of Gujarat have difficulty in staying and eating when they have to move away from home for higher education. With this objective in mind, free accommodation and meals are provided to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Socially and Educationally Backward Classes and Economically Backward Classes (EBC) students of the State.

Rules of admission to Samaras Hostel

Eligibility and rules for admission in hostels are determined by Gujarat Samaras Chhatralay Sociery, Government of Gujarat. Students will be admitted to Samaras Hostel keeping in view the following rules.


Admission will be given only to male students of Gujarat state.

Students will be able to apply for all the undergraduate and postgraduate courses as decided by the Government.

Admission to Samars hostel will be on merit basis.

In order to take New Admission in the undergraduate / postgraduate course in Samaras Chhatralay, the students should have got 50% or more marks.

The maximum age limit for availing benefits in Samaras hostels is 25 years.

No new or old students will be admitted after 25 years.

Local students in the city where the hostel is located will not be able to apply online.

Local students who live in a slum, raw building, slum, tent settlement, dirty area will be able to apply for admission.

New students in Samaras Hostel will be given admission in all groups of all undergraduate courses in any semester on the basis of the percentage obtained in Std-12.

Students who get admission in Degree Course after Diploma will be given admission in Samaras Hostel on the basis of the same percentage as they got admission in the university. (Percentage must be calculated from the marks obtained from the total marks.)

Students admitted to the Master Degree course will be given admission on merit based on the percentage of their graduate course admitted to the university.

Students who get admission in degree course after diploma will be given admission in Samaras Hostel on the basis of the percentage of admission in the university.

At the time of taking Samras Hostel Admission, the students will have to submit the guarantee form in person in the prescribed form. And that guarantee has to be strictly followed and the guardian has to give the guarantee form in the prescribed form.

Samras Hostel Renewal Admission

The government has made rules for admission in the new year to the students who have got admission in Samaras Hostel. For those who want to re-enter the hostel, the following qualifications are available.


Re-admission in the hostel will be given keeping in view the behavior, study, accommodation, discipline, character etc. of the students.

Alumni of the hostel will also have to re-apply online to continue admission. Special attention will be paid to the behavior of the students during the last year while giving admission.

Courses which are coming late will have to be vacated till the result comes and admission will be given after the result comes.

Students who fail, have ATKT and drop out in the main subject of Samaras Hostel will not be admitted.

All you have to do is apply online for admission to Samaras Hostel. This online application will be from two places. Now if you want to get a new admission and have not registered on the website, you have to do a new registration by clicking on samaras hostel registration for student.

Students who have already registered can register by entering Enter Email Id, Enter Password, Enter Captcha Code.

Students will have to scan the required document and make it ready for New Registration and click on “I Agree Rule & Regulation”.

Now you have to fill in Personal Detail. Such as name, address, gender, caste etc.

The student will then have to fill in the correct details of his / her educational qualification in the Education Detail.

Now Other Detail has to be filled.

Students will then have to upload the document online.

Finally students will have to give Declaration. This Declaration is mandatory for all students to comply with the rules of Samaras Hostel.

Gujarat Government is providing pass facility to not only the students but also for general people. The pass for the students is called student pass and for other public it is called passenger pass.

Student Pass: GSRTC Commuter Pass Service Of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation
  • Students will get the pass by paying 5 day’s rent out of 30 days. They will need a fees receipt of their school or college. Then they need to fill the form given from pass counter with passport size photo. They will immediately get the pass and id card from GSRTC. For renewing the pass they just need to submit the old pass and get a new one. When the validity of pass is over, they need to renew the pass within 3 days other wise they need to repeat whole procedure. Girls from villages which are under some panchayat, get free student pass.
Passenger Pass: GSRTC Commuter Pass Service Of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation
  • The peoples who are daily user of ST bus, this facility is really very nice. They will get a passenger pass of 30 days by paying rent of 15 days. They will need just a passport size photo. For the first time they will need to issue their id from GSRTC, which is valid till 7 years.
There are three types of GSRTC Commuter Pass Service:
  • Pass for Local Bus
  • Pass for Express Bus
  • Pass for Gurjar Nagari
1. GSRTC Commuter Pass Service for Local Bus
  • This is a cheapest pass which stops at each bus stop on the way. So, people from villages can use this pass from their own village’s bus stop.
2. GSRTC Commuter Pass Service for Express Bus
  • This is costly than Local Bus pass. It only stops at some predefined bus stops generally of bus stops of cities and towns. Those peoples can use this pass. They even can use Local Pass, but if they want better facility and faster services with fewer crowds then they can use this pass.
3. GSRTC Commuter Pass Service for Gurjar Nagari
  • This is costliest pass. The buses of long distance are given a name of Gurjar Nagari. Even fewer crowds even better facilities than both others.
