Vegetable Manchow Recipe



Vegetable manchow soup is the delightful Indo-Chinese thick soup which gets an extra bit of the crunch with a garnish of deep-fried crispy noodles. A mix of finely chopped nutritious veggies sauteed along with thte Chinese sauces, cooked in tastful vegetable stock  and thickened with corn flour. The dark brown aromatic broth studded with colourful veggies – makes your mouth water as soon as it hits the table.


Manchow Soup is the favored Chinese recipe that we normally enjoy in a restaurant. In this recipe we will present you how to make restaurant style Manchow Soup. This Vegetable Manchow Soup include of Carrot, Cabbage, Capsicum & Spring Onions with the regular Chinese sauces and condiments. 


How To Make Vegetable Manchow Recipe


INGREDIENTS


for soup:


  1. 2 tbsp oil
  2. 1 inch ginger (finely chopped)
  3. 2 clove garlic (finely chopped)
  4. 2 chilli (finely chopped)
  5. ½ onion (finely chopped)
  6. ½ carrot (finely chopped)
  7. 3 tbsp cabbage (finely chopped)
  8. ½ capsicum (finely chopped)
  9. 5 beans (finely chopped)
  10. 2 tbsp coriander stem (chopped)
  11. 4 cup water
  12. ¾ tsp salt
  13. 2 tbsp soy sauce
  14. 2 tbsp vinegar
  15. ½ tsp pepper powder
  16. 1 tsp chilli sauce
  17. 1 tsp cornflour
  18. ¼ cup water (for slurry)
  19. 2 tbsp coriander (finely chopped)

INSTRUCTIONS


Manchow Soup Preparation:


  • Firstly, in the large kadai heat 2 tbsp oil, saute 1 inch ginger, 2 clove garlic and 2 chilli.
  • Then, saute ½ onion until it shrinks slightly.
  • Now add ½ carrot, 3 tbsp cabbage, ½ capsicum, 5 beans and 2 tbsp coriander stem.
  • Stir fry for a minute without overcooking them.
  • Now pour 4 cup water and add ¾ tsp salt. mix well.
  • Boil until all the taste are well absorbed.
  • Now add 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp vinegar, ½ tsp pepper powder and 1 tsp chilli sauce. blend well.
  • In the small bowl take 1 tsp cornflour and mix with the ¼ cup water.
  • Pour the cornflour slurry and stir well.
  • Stir and boil until the soup thickens slightly and turns glossy.
  • Now add the 2 tbsp coriander and give a good mix.
  • Finally, enjoy veg manchow soup recipe topped with the fried noodles.
