Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY)

Government through the Budget Speech announced three ambitious Social Special for the protection of the maximum number of people living under the lack of economic security

 Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Vima Yojana has been implemented, the characteristics of which are as follows.This plan is a one year life insurance plan.  Which can be renewed every year.

 The purpose of this scheme is a type of life insurance policy.  In which Rs 2 lakh will be paid to the heirs / family members of the insured against death due to any reason.  For this, each consumer has to pay Rs.  You will have to pay a premium of Rs.

 Eligibility:

 A person between the ages of 18 to 50 who has a bank account can avail the benefit.  People who join the scheme before completing 3 years will get insurance cover till the age of PUP due to payment of annual premium. Advantages: The death of a member for any reason will be an amount payable of Rs. 5 lakhs.

 Procedure:
 Under the above scheme, customers will have to register for the period of protection from 1st June to 21st May as well as consent for automatic deduction from the account by 31st May every year, which will not be applicable to the first year.  No annual premium after due time as well as self certified certificate of good health   It will be possible to get protection under them.

 Implements:
 The scheme will be implemented by the public sector LIC and other insurance companies through the bank.MantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BimaYojanaPMSBY)and an the Atal Pension Yojana (APY) to move towards creating a universalsocial security system, targeted especially for the poor and the under-privileged. Hon’ble

Prime Minister launched PMJJBY and PMSBY schemes nationally in Kolkata on 9th May,2015.
The Pradhan MantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY) is a one year life insurancescheme, renewable from year to year, offering coverage for death due to any reason and 
is available to people in the age group of 18 to 50 years( life cover upto age 55) having asavings bank account who give their consent to join and enable auto-debit. The risk

cover on the lives of the enrolled persons has commenced from 1st June 2015.
3. Under PMJJBY scheme, life cover of Rs. 2 lakhs is available for a one year periodstretching from 1st June to 31st May at a premium of Rs.330/- per annum per member and  is renewable every year. It is offered / administered through LIC and other Indian private
Life Insurance companies. For enrolment banks have tied up with insurance companies.Participating Bank is the Master policy holder.4. The assurance on the life of the member shall terminate on any of the following

events and no benefit will become payable there under:
1) On attaining age 55 years (age near birth day) subject to annual renewal up tothat date (entry, however, will not be possible beyond the age of 50 years).Closure of account with the Bank or insufficiency of balance to keep the insurancein force.3) A person can join PMJJBY with one Insurance company with one bank accountonly.5. Individuals who exit the scheme at any point may re-join the scheme in futureyears by paying the annual premium and submitting a self-declaration of good health.Initial enrolment period in the scheme was from 1st May to 31st May ‘2015, which has nowbeen extended up to 31st Aug’ 2015, by this date eligible persons can join the schemewithout giving self-certification of good health, even though eligible persons can join thescheme on any date by paying the premium for full year. In case of claim thenominees/heirs of the insured person have to contact respective bank branch where theinsured person was having bank account. A death certificate and simple claim form isrequired to submit and the claim amount will be transferred to nominees account.

Participating Bank will be theMaster policy holder on behalf of the participating subscribers. It will be theresponsibility of the participating bank to recover the appropriate annualpremium in one instalment, as per the option, from the account holders on orbefore the due date through ‘auto-debit’ process and transfer the amount due to

The enrolment drive is continuing without loss of momentum till date. As on 31stMay, that is, on the eve of commencement date of the policy, the numberenrolled under PMSBY scheme had reached 7.29 Crores.Immediately after the close of the first phase of enrolments, banks have startedthe process of auto debit of premium in the accounts of the enrolees andremittance of premium to the insurers. So far premium has been debited toaround 65% of the accounts.The enrollment is open till 31st August and the drive is continuing. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, Rs.2000 / - will be transferred from the Central Government to the farmer's account by 15th December.  The PM Kisan Yojana is a scheme that benefits crores of farmers who have so far been given Rs 2,000 each in nine installments.  In the near future, the tenth installment of the same scheme will also be given to the farmers.  In this scheme, farmers are given two thousand rupees six thousand rupees thrice a year.

It is to be noted that this is not a scheme where money is transferred to the farmers, but also to secure the future of the farmers, the central government runs another scheme called PM Shramyogi Mandhan Yojana.

What will be the benefit?
 Under PM shram yogi mandhan yojana, farmers are given a monthly pension while living a life of retirement.  After the age of 60, you start getting pension.

 Documents required for registration:

 1. Aadhaar card
 2. Identity card
 3. Age certificate
 4. Example of income
 5. Bank account passbook
 6. Mobile number
 7. Passport size photo
 8. Documents of the farm

 If farmers want a pension of Rs 3,000 per month, they have to start investing Rs 55-200 per month depending on the current age.  If the insured farmer dies then the benefit is provided to the nominee.

 What is the purpose of the plan
 It may be recalled that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched this scheme in the year 2019 with the objective of providing financial assistance to farmers in old age.

 Eligibility for Maandhan Yojana has been determined by Government of India.  Those who have the following qualifications will be eligible for the benefit of this scheme.



 Farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 who are citizens of India.
 Small and marginal farmers will benefit from this scheme.
 If the farmer owns less than 2 hectares of land, the benefit is recoverable

 Special Note:
 It is to be noted that this scheme is for marginal and small farmers only, no farmer in high position gets the benefit of this scheme.
 Farmers between the ages of 18 and 40 can register for the scheme

 How to pay premium
 In this scheme, the farmers who are 18 to 40 years of age start paying premium every month and after they reach 60 years of age, they start giving pension of three thousand rupees.
 Beneficiaries above 18 years of age will have to pay Rs. 55 per month and farmers above 40 years of age will have to pay a premium of Rs. 200 per month.

If you still want to avail of ration at low price or you have to get ration card at government rate.  You do not have to visit any government office for this.  Because now the process of making ration card is done online.  It is to be mentioned that work has been done to create ration cards in two categories.  BPL ration cards are made by the government for people living below the poverty line, while BPL ration cards are made available to people living above the poverty line.

These people can apply:

 In India, a person above 18 years of age is entitled to apply for a ration card.  Only one state ration card is required.  The names of a head and other family members are added to the ration card.  It should be mentioned that before the ration card, government offices had to go round and round.  But now with the advent of internet you can apply for online ration card from home.

 How to apply:

 To apply for a ration card, you can apply online by visiting your state food portal.  For example, if you live in Uttar Pradesh, you need to visit the website https://fcs.up.gov.in/FoodPortal.aspx.  From here you need to download the ration card form.  To get Ration Card, you need to provide Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, Driving License or any ID.  After applying, you have to pay a fee of Rs 5 to 45.  After submitting the form, it is sent for field verification.  Verification is completed within 30 days.  As soon as this process is completed, your ration card will be ready.

The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue with a height of 182 metres. A huge exhibition hall covering an area of 4,647 square metres has been set up in the pedestal of the Statue of Unity. The hall showcases the life of Sardar Patel, his contributions to the Freedom Movement against British rule and his role in the merger of princely states. The Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, the life and culture of the tribal people of Gujarat and the Sardar Sarovar Dam are also displayed through an Audio-Visual show. The monument also boasts of a viewing gallery at 135m height at the chest of the statue with a capacity of 200 tourists at a given time. A Light and Sound show using laser technology projected on the Statue of Unity takes place every evening except Monday. The colourful laser lighting system is accompanied by an excellent narration of the history and life of Sardar Patel, his contribution to the Independence Movement and the unification of India as one nation.


The Jungle Safari covers 558,240 square metres on the right bank of the Narmada River, about 2 kilometre from the SoU. The park will be home to more than 400 species of fauna, covering various biomes of Africa, Australia, Asia and America. Visitors will also be able to spot India’s endangered species, which includes the magnificent big cats such as Asiatic lion, Royal Bengal Tiger and Leopard. The safari route has been designed such that the visitors can view animal activities, spot reptiles and watch birds.




Sardar Sarovar Dam is one of the world's largest concrete gravity dam which is 1.2 kms long and 163 mts hight from its deepest foundation level. It has 30 radial gates weighing about 450 tonnes each.


Children Nutrition Park operates between 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM between Tuesday to Friday and operates between 9:00 am to 9:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. It is the World's first technologically driven theme park envisioned and conceptualized by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi with the objective of inspiring children to eat healthy and understand the role of nutrition in their mental and physical growth. Children Nutrition Park has made extensive use of technology for gaming and learning purposes. The Cactus Garden is a unique botanical garden at the Statue of Unity site, created to exhibit a huge variety of Cacti, the true miracles of adaptation. The thought behind the development of the cactus garden is to provide an experience of the desert ecosystem in the midst of a landmass well entrenched in an aquatic surroundings. There are 30000 plants of 350 species spread across 20 acres of land. A grand architectural greenhouse - ecological habitat of nearly 400 national and international species of cacti and succulent plants. These cacti and succulent species represent their origin in 17 countries of the world mainly from North & South America and African continents. The Sardar Sarovar Dam is a gravity dam on the Narmada river near Navagam, Gujarat in India.
