Nitin Gadkari on Mercedes ’ Made in India luxury EV said, it isn't my thing to buy it 



At the launch of EQS 580 4MATIC, the first made in India luxury electric auto from global machine company Mercedes- Benz, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that buying this auto is beyond my budget too. He said that the company should try to increase its original product to reduce its cost. 


The price of this auto is around Rs1.55 crore(ex-showroom). This is Mercedes ’ third electric vehicle( EV) in the country. lately the company launched the AMG interpretation of the EQS 53. deals had started. The auto is powered by a107.8 kWh lithium- ion battery and a set of four motors. It has a motor on each axle. Mercedes says that it gives a range of over to 857 km on a single charge grounded on ARAI instrument. It's the largest range electric auto in the country. still, its range may be less in real situations. It has a maximum power of 523 bhp. It takes about four seconds to accelerate from 0- 100 kmph. crucial features include a 56- inch MBUX hyperscreen. This includes three small defenses for the passenger display, central infotainment and motorist display. 

 

Gadkari’s tell Was, “ The cost can be reduced only if you increase product. We're middle- class people. I ca n’t indeed buy your auto. ” still, at the same time, Gadkari said that there's a huge request for electric vehicles in the country and there are about15.7 lakh registered EVs. With the construction of express roadways in the country, there will be a good request for these buses . Gadkari said that the country’s machine assiduity is worth about Rs7.8 lakh crore and out of this, vehicles worth about Rs3.5 lakh crore are exported. He said that there's a plan to take this assiduity to Rs 15 lakh crore. 


Mercedes has assembled the EQS 580 4MATIC EV at its manufacturing factory in Chakan near Pune. Gadkari advised the company that if it sets up units for recycling of raw accoutrements , it can reduce element cost by 30 per cent. He said that the central government is promoting similar units and for this it's important to take way on the part of the company.
