 Global Hand Washing Day (GHD) is a global day, celebrated on October 15 every year.  Which is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of hand hygiene and adopting hand washing with soap for sustainable and long term.  This year's theme is "Our Future is at Hand - Let's Move Forward Together". Children spend 8-10 hours in school and hands with soap

 Washing improves children's health and education.  Covid-19 epidemics prove that washing hands with soap can prevent disease transmission

 Is.  According to WASH Survey-2020 in Gujarat, 5% of schools do not have daily soap for hand washing.  All schools need to be equipped with soap for hand washing.

 On the occasion of Global Handwashing Day 2021, a soap bank has been set up in all government, grant-aided and private schools.  Soap will be available for children to wash their hands every day in schools

 DEO, Shri DPEO Shri.  The BRC / CRC Coordinator will have to visit at least one school to inaugurate the Soap Bank on the occasion of Global Tendsquashing Day.  This activity program has to be completed by 15th October 2018 and mandatory report has to be uploaded on the given link (1./58) by 30th October 2021

Formation of soap bank:

 1. Box of any shape and size which will be made as easy to handle, durable and waterproof soap bank.  It can be decorated by teachers and students as shown in the sample picture

 2. When setting up a soap bank, teachers, head teachers, students, village representatives and the community will be encouraged to donate soap to the soap bank.

 4. Soap bank will be encouraged. There will always be soap in the bank and timely repayment will be ensured. 5. Soap bank should be accessible for children.

 .  The soap bank will be managed by the students.  Two students will be appointed as the manager of the soap bank under the supervision of one teacher.  Child where it is installed

The reimbursement and management of the soap bank will be discussed during the sittings of the Children's Parliament.  .  Every year during the World Handwashing Day on 15th October 2021, all the schools should convene a meeting of the Children's Parliament to take a pledge on regular hand washing with soap.  Should be shared with.
