Is the government planning on LPG subsidy? Find out whose account the money will come from

Is the government planning on LPG subsidy? Find out whose account the money will come from

LPG cylinder latest news: In recent months, the benefit of subsidy on LPG cylinder was being given in selected districts of 15 provinces of the country. But now this number has come down to 8 states including Union Territories.

In the midst of rising inflation, big news can be found regarding the subsidy for LPG cylinders. There is constant talk that the price of LPG cylinder will touch the figure of 1000. The government's side has not yet come forward regarding the rising inflation of LPG cylinders.

LPG and commercial gas prices have also gone up this month. But an internal assessment of the government indicates that consumers are willing to pay up to Rs.1000 per cylinder. According to sources, the government can take a decision on LPG cylinders in two ways. First, the government should supply cylinders without subsidy. Second, some selected consumers should also be given the benefit of subsidy.

What is the government's plan on subsidy?

The government has not yet clarified anything about giving subsidy. But as per the information received so far, the rule of income of Rs. 10 lakhs will be enforced and the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana will get the benefit of subsidy.  Let you know that the subsidy for the rest of the people may end.

 Who gets the subsidy now?

Let me tell you that the subsidy on LPG has been stopped in some places for the last several months and this rule has been in force since May 2020.  The move comes after crude oil and gas prices continued to fall during the Corona epidemic in international markets.  However, so far the government has not stopped the subsidy on LPG cylinders completely.

The government spends so much on subsidies

Government expenditure on subsidy stood at Rs. 3,559 during the financial year 2021.  In FY20, the expenditure was Rs 24,468 crore.  In fact, it is under the DBT scheme which was introduced in January 2015, under which customers have to pay the full amount of non-subsidized LPG cylinders.  On the other hand, the subsidy money from the government is refunded to the customer's bank account.  As this refund is direct, the scheme is named DBTL.

Increased prices of LPG gas cylinders

LPG Subsidy: Is the government planning on LPG subsidy?  Find out whose account the money will come from

The price of 14.2 kg cylinder without subsidy has increased by Rs.  With this, the price of LPG cylinder in the national capital Delhi has increased from Rs 884.50 to Rs 899.50.  It is noteworthy that earlier on the first day of the month, the oil companies had increased the price of 19 Kg commercial gas cylinder by Rs 43.5 per cylinder.  However, there was no increase in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders at that time.

What difference between gpf and cpf in india See in Hindi

But when we visit any Asset Management Company (AMC) website we come across various terms and jargons that are difficult to understand. So, let us go through the below-mentioned terms to get a clearer insight and understanding of the world of mutual funds.

AMC (Asset Management Company)
Asset Management Company is the company that manages funds of individuals. A mutual fund is a trust registered under the Indian Trust Act. It is initiated by a sponsor. A sponsor is a person who acts alone or with a corporate to establish a mutual fund. The sponsor then appoints an AMC to manage the investment, marketing, accounting and other functions pertaining to the fund. Various funds can be introduced by a single AMC according to investment objective. It is a pool where funds are collected and invested professionally and the returns are distributed proportionally. In India all AMCs are required to get themselves registered with SEBI before starting its operations.

NAV (Net Asset Value)
Net Asset Value or NAV often heard and a familiar term when we talk about mutual funds. Most of us have heard this term and use it on and off but very few of us know what exactly this term connotes and how is it interpreted. In a layman’s language it is the price per share or unit of a mutual fund. As stocks have a share price, mutual funds have NAV. If we are buying 100 units of a mutual fund then we buy it at its NAV. Though share price fluctuates throughout the day at exchanges, the NAV does not change. NAV of a fund is calculated at end of the trading day.

NAV is calculated as: (Assets of the fund-Liabilities of the fund)/Number of outstanding units of the fund

is the indicator of the fund’s performance over a period of time. If one tracks the NAV of a fund over a specific period he/she may be able to gauge how the fund has been performing and take investment decisions. A lower NAV does not mean that the fund is not doing well or a fund with a higher NAV is performing better. Absolute comparison is not the means by which two funds should be compared, the relative growth should be taken into account for the same period to ascertain fund performance and should be used to take investment decision.

Growth Option
Mutual funds come with growth option and dividend option. Under the growth option whatever interests, bonus, gains and dividends the fund earns is not paid out or distributed amongst the investors. It is ploughed back and re-invested in the scheme itself. This gets reflected in the NAV of the scheme, no interim payments whatsoever are made out of the fund holdings. The investor gets the return only upon redeeming the fund. The NAV of the growth option and dividend option of the same scheme varies a lot. The NAV of the growth option is much higher than the dividend option as no pay-outs are made.

Useful videos for government employees

If one is opting for an equity based mutual fund then the growth option is quite suitable as regards wealth creation. As no interim payments are made the benefit of compounding is enjoyed by the investor.

Even today when we hear the name of prayer meeting.  So that scene of school time is presented in front of the eyes.  When our school day starts with prayer meeting.  All the students of the school arrive in uniform on time and offer all-religion prayer in the prayer meeting.

Prayer has an important place in Indian culture.  Before the beginning of every task, we all pray to God for the accomplishment of that task either in the mind or by singing.  After that all the work is started.  When children also go to school for study, they pray to God in the prayer meeting before studying.

In almost every school in India, prayers are organized before the start of teaching.  Prayer meeting is the place where pictures of educational, social and mental and spiritual subjects of the concerned school are presented.  The purpose of the prayer meeting seems to be getting tarnished today.  Teachers, students and school administration gather at one place in the morning to sing the national anthem, national anthem, pledge and prayer just to complete the formalities.

On understanding the positive purpose of prayer meeting, we will find that not a formal meeting which takes place before the start of the teaching-learning system of the school, all the activities of the school of that day should go well and the proper environment of education is created in the school for this.  Prayers are organized.

Prayer meetings help in developing the qualities of good character in the newborn.  This is the time when a school gathers which can be seen at a glance.  Students and teachers are all present.  These qualities develop spontaneously in the child because of performing all the actions on the instructions of the prayer organizer and being in discipline.

Despite the crowd of thousands, the atmosphere of complete peace can be seen only in the prayer meeting.  Where on an order of Guru ji, all the students follow his orders.  Prayer places also give birth to the feelings of patriotism in children, where along with singing of national anthem, national anthem, there are programs of suvichar, pledge and reading of daily news and quiz.

Prayer meeting is the place where all the students sit together in a line with discipline.  Necessary information is given by the school manager through the platform.  This is a good platform for the upcoming days' programs, activities and exchange of lost and found items.  By going on stage to the new children regularly, reading news and asking questions of general knowledge, their ability to express is developed.
